Changes

Change is an inevitable part of life. It really is quite humbling to realise that the ministry of PeaceWise is now 10 years old! Over this decade, by God’s grace and faithfulness, we have grown and changed. God has led various people to be more intensely involved with PeaceWise during this period. So it is with a mixture of sadness but also gladness (for their partnership and fellowship with us) that we share the news that two of our dear peacemakers are retiring from “active service”!

Hélène van Ruth joined the Board in late 2012 as our South Australian director and transitioned more recently into the role of SA Regional Ministry Coordinator. Hélene’s family, work and ministry circumstances have changed in recent months, and she has felt that God is leading her to relinquish her role at PeaceWise. We have absolutely loved Hélène’s huge contribution to the work of PeaceWise generally, but especially in SA.  We know that with her love for the Bible and for people, God will continue to use her in the next phase of her life.

Although Hélène is stepping out of active involvement in PeaceWise, we know she will remain a passionate peacemaker!  Thank you Hélène for your love and service!

Elenne Ford was not just one of the foundational Board members of PeaceWise, but also led numerous PeaceWise training events and mediated many conflicts all over Australia.  Elenne’s inimitable effervescent personality and love for God and people meant that she was just so suited to the adventure called PeaceWise!  Over the last few years, Elenne has found much joy and blessing through on-line study of biblical counselling with CCEF, so much so that she is now planning to study further in the USA at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia!

Elenne’s immediate plans to study abroad means she has to leave active ministry involvement with PeaceWise, so we say farewell to our dear friend Elenne, knowing that God has much in store for her in her next adventure!
