Dear peacemaking friends,
All of us have growth areas in our lives. Weaknesses are often pointed out to us in the midst of conflict, sometimes quite harshly. At such times we are usually quite defensive and don’t listen as well to correction. As a result, we can ignore valid criticism and fail to benefit from it. One way to approach this is to anticipate our need for correction and create a habit of asking for feedback before it becomes an issue in conflict. Asking reduces the number of surprises to come. At this meeting, we will look at the way Jesus enables us to freely and even joyfully seek and be open to correction in a God’s pleasing way. As part of the evening we will also look at a very life-like scenario to help us think this through in a practical way.
PeaceWise Hub is a place to connect with other peacemakers in an enjoyable and relaxing way, and to refresh and practise peacemaking skills. It is also a great opportunity to share, encourage and pray together as friends in the peacemaking journey.
