Covenant PeaceWise Hub
Dear peacemaking friends,
In recent months we have all seen the coverage on the news of Black Lives Matter protests in the US and across the world. We have listened to the stories not only of black Americans but also of our own Australian indigenous peoples as part of National Reconciliation Week. We have been reminded that there is deeply ingrained personal and even systemic racial discrimination and many injustices that they have had and are living with constantly.
At this meeting, we will reflect on what it might look like for us as peacemakers to respond God’s way to this: to glorify God, serve others and grow us to be more like Jesus in the midst of these stories.
In these changed circumstances with its many careful restrictions, we won’t be meeting in person at Covenant Christian School, but instead, we’ll meet online using Zoom. In this way, we hope to maintain the sense of community we have developed as like-minded peacemakers.
PeaceWise Hub is a place to connect with other peacemakers in an enjoyable and relaxing way, and to refresh and practise peacemaking skills. It is also a great opportunity to share, encourage and pray together as friends in the peacemaking journey.
