free conflict coaching and prayer support

our love response

In these very hard times, we can just need someone to talk to.

It might be conflict-related, or you may mainly just need prayer. You may feel afraid, or anxious, or frustrated or sad.

Jesus calls us to love each other at all times:

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”   John 13:34-35

Our response is that we want to hold out a hand of love to you.

We want to give you two free 40 minute sessions of conflict coaching and prayer support, as an expression of the love of Jesus to you.

free conflict coaching and prayer support

Across the country, we have mobilised our network of trainers and conflict coaches. We have a body of people who have kindly offered their time for free, either to be coaches, or to be people who will mentor those who are doing the coaching.

In the first session, you will share what is on your heart. Your coach will genuinely listen to you, talk with you and seek to bring hope into your situation.  Your coach will also pray with you.

They may also suggest Scriptures relevant for you to reflect and meditate on, and other things for you to do before the second session.

Following this, the second session will take the conversation forward from wherever you left off. But always with a focus on hope and help, and inviting God into your heart and into whatever struggles you are facing.

will I get formal counselling? What is the goal of the two sessions?

This is not a formal counselling engagement, it is a free two 40 minute sessions of conflict coaching and prayer support. Our coaches vary in experience and expertise.  Whilst all have done PeaceWise training courses, they are not professionals and they are not providing counselling – they are committed Christians who are offering to stand with you and listen and talk and pray.

As you will expect, all sessions will be confidential, subject to any legal exceptions requiring reporting by law.

In terms of what you share, we ask you to be sensitive, and not to raise issues which are so serious or extreme that they would be beyond the capacity of someone not offering you paid professional services to engage with (eg. sexual abuse, serious crime, complicated mental illness etc).

For every session, there will be a mentor involved who will silently observe. This is as a protection for both you and the coach, and also provides the opportunity for mentor feedback to the coach to help them grow in their skills and experience.

It is likely that you will still be facing many of the same issues at the end of the two sessions.

However our goal of this response of conflict coaching and prayer is that you will feel loved, helped and feel more confident in how to do so going forward.

In particular, we hope to help you draw strength and comfort from God, from his son Jesus, from his Holy Spirit and from his word.

what happens at the end of the second session?

  • We will ask you to complete a simple online feedback form.
  • We ask you to please respect the boundaries of this free service and to recognise that it is not an ongoing service
  • Your coach may discuss with you options for “Where to from here?” depending on your situation

Is this response of conflict coaching and prayer support really free? Is there a catch?

Yes, it is really free. There is no catch, it is a gift.

We recognise that for some people, it is the very fact that it is free that makes it possible and attractive, especially for many financially and relationally.

Some may wish to take the opportunity to demonstrate Christian generosity in response by way of a gift to PeaceWise, which you can do through our website.

In all cases, we simply invite you to pray, and if you feel led, give as you listen to the Holy Spirit and according to your means.

But there is no expectation at all, or any catch.

We and all the people who will be conflict coaching or mentoring, really want to take the opportunity to bless you freely in love.

what do I need to do now to get this help?

All you need to do is hit the button below and fill in some simple details to help us know something about you and the situation you would like us to support you in.

All sessions will be conducted via video technology, which you can agree with your coach.

Please note that if the demand for this service is great, it may take some time for us to be able to arrange a coach and mentor for you.

However we will endeavour to do so as soon as we can – we just have no idea at this stage how many will take up this offer!

We pray that the Lord may bless you and keep you at this time,

With love from all of us at PeaceWise
