PeaceWise Board – volunteer positions available
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following volunteer positions to assist the PeaceWise Board in the governance of PeaceWise:
- Board Director / Risk and Finance Committee Chair: The right person for this position will have current accounting and/or finance experience.
- Company Secretary / Public Officer: This position will assist the Board Chair in the governance administration of the Board.
- Minute Secretary: Attending all board meetings and board retreats, the Minute Secretary will provide minutes for the Board.
While the exact role description for each position can be adjusted to best suit the right person, they all require people who have a strong commitment to the vision, mission, and values of PeaceWise and are committed to living as peacemakers themselves. They will all require a time commitment of, on average, 1 to 2 days per month, which includes attendance at 6-7 board meetings, 9 am-1 pm (AEST) on nominated Fridays, attendance at the annual 5-day board retreat in March, and completion of associated work for the position.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity if you think you might fit one of these positions. The PeaceWise Board practices what we preach, and while taking seriously the responsibility for the governance of PeaceWise, we do so as peacemakers, making this board like no other in all the right ways. To be part of the PeaceWise board is a blessing, seriously!
