Faithful hearts, peaceful lives

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)

Living as a peacemaker begins with surrender. A big part of the surrender often means trusting God more than our own understanding and choosing His way, even when it feels hard or unseen. And these choices is what faithfulness is lived out in practice. It is often not about grand gestures; it’s about small, steady steps of obedience that flow from a heart devoted to Jesus.

What does this all look like in practice? Well maybe it means when someone speaks harshly you pause to pray before responding, that’s faithfulness. When you forgive rather than retaliate, that’s surrender. We see glimpses of this in our world when victims extend grace instead of hatred after tragedy, or when leaders own mistakes rather than shift blame. Each quiet act of obedience, surrender and faithfulness reflects the peace of Christ.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to walk faithfully with you and reflect your peace today.
